Field Placements: Real World Experience

For many Carthage students, J-Term is a time to gain valuable experience in a real work environment. Students work as interns for area businesses and other organizations, where they observe and learn under the guidance of qualified professionals. Field placements allow students to acquire experience and career path insights, while building valuable professional relationships.

Two types of field placements are available: self-designed field placements and department field placements. Both types are governed by the policy that a student may not participate in a J-Term field placement under the direct supervision of immediate family members or guardians.

J-Term at Carthage
