Study Abroad with CarthageCarthage College is committed to providing a strong foundation in the liberal arts for all its students, and to this end, the College is also committed to providing its students with the opportunity to study overseas to complement the education they receive here in Kenosha. It's not enough to read and talk about the world - students need to experience living, learning, and working in other countries, in other cultures, to truly be prepared for life in the 21st Century. Carthage has affiliated with several reputable institutions in order to provide our students with academically rigorous, high-quality international programs in a variety of locations around the globe. In the past few years, Carthage students have spent semesters or academic years (or equivalent) on every continent except Antarctica, in locations as far-flung as Argentina, Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Senegal, Spain. A successful study abroad experience begins with careful planning and research, usually a year or more prior to the anticipated semester abroad. With the assistance of our Study Abroad Coordinator, Erik Kulke, you will be able to identify a program that is appropriate for your academic, social, and professional interests. Additionally, the College offers a class (MLAN 220) to prepare students for their international experience and to arm them with the knowledge and tools necessary to deal with the differences (and associated challenges) they will encounter. For more information, please fill out the "Statement of Interest" form online, read the FAQs also on this site, then contact the Study Abroad Coordinator to schedule an appointment. |
