What is the Admission Process?
Admission procedures for international students include verification of the applicant's academic ability, English language proficiency
and financial support in order to issue a Form I-20. Form I-20 is required for applying for an F1 Visa.
Carthage will only consider a student for admission when all items listed below have been received.
The application process is as follows:
- Submit the Carthage application for admission. You may apply for admission online at
www.carthage.edu/apply
- Submit the non-refundable application fee of U.S. $30 with your application for admission to
Carthage. We recommend that you do not send cash by mail.
- Submit all official transcripts including diploma certificate from your secondary school program.
- For students who have attended a post-secondary program: submit all official, translated college/university transcripts
for evaluation to an evaluation organization such as Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org)
or World Education Services (www.wes.org). If submitting to ECE, please be sure to request a catalog
match. It is necessary to obtain information about actual courses that may are completed equivalencies to that which Carthage offers.
- Submit official TOEFL or SAT-1 test score report. Carthage's code is 1103.
- You can arrange to take the TOEFL by contacting www.toefl.org or by writing to TOEFL Services,
Educational Testing Service, P.O. Box 6151, Princeton, NJ 08541-6151, U.S.A., or by phoning +1 (609) 771-7100.
- You can arrange to take the SAT-1 by contacting www.collegeboard.com or by writing
to College Board Admission Testing Program, P.O. Box 6200, Princeton, NJ 08541-6200, U.S.A., or by phoning +1 (609) 771-7600.
- Submit certification of finances form. All monetary amounts listed on the certification of finances form must be certified by bank officials. If you
have a financial sponsor that person must submit the sponsor statement. All monetary amounts must be certified by bank officials.
