You must submit your application for admission and supporting materials, including high school transcripts and ACT (or SAT) report, to Carthage by December 3, 2011, to be eligible for the Kenosha Scholarship Program. (If you are a transfer student, you may send college transcripts in place of high school information if you have 12 or more transferable credits.) Qualified scholarship applicants will be notified in January 2012. Finalists will be invited to the Carthage campus for a competition on January 27, 2012.

The Carthage commitment to scholars extends beyond the Kenosha, Presidential, and Transfer Scholarships. Top students typically receive a substantial package of multiple no-need awards, ranging from $5,000 to $11,000, or more. Many qualify for additional need-based assistance, making Carthage quite affordable.

Candidates for the Carthage Honors Program, Kenosha Scholarship, Transfer Scholarship, and Presidential Scholarship are selected from among students who are admitted to Carthage and who have submitted the separate Kenosha Scholarship Application, along with the required personal statement, no later than December 3, 2011.

The Office of Admissions screens applications and identifies candidates best suited for the Honors Program and for the Kenosha Scholarship Program. The College notifies these students in January and invites them to campus for a competition on January 27, 2012. This offers a unique opportunity to interact with Carthage faculty, potential classmates, and Carthage Honors students, while competing in the Kenosha Scholarship Program.

During the campus visit, prospective Kenosha Scholars will complete an essay and have a conversation with two faculty/staff members. Parents are invited to an interactive session to learn more about the benefits of a Carthage education

The Kenosha, Presidential, and Transfer Scholarships may incorporate all Carthage assistance.
