Sessions:
The Enrichment and Continuing Education Program offers courses designed to meet the needs, interests and concerns of people in today’s society. Many courses are particularly suited to teachers, who may receive credits required by the Department of Public Instruction for licensure renewal.
Courses have covered fields such as education, social work, criminal justice, and video production, as well as personal development courses that have included sign language, yoga, body language, and genealogy. Courses are 1-3 credits, and are available for Professional Development undergraduate or graduate credit. Classes range from weekend workshops to courses that meet weekly over several weeks.
For educators who have completed their licensure programs out of state, the Enrichment and Continuing Education provides opportunities to meet several PI 34 statutory requirements. You can read more about making arrangements to satisfy state statutory requirements here.
See the Summer 2012 schedule of courses.
We are pleased to present a fee structure that offers an economical option for earning continuing education credits. Tuition is $50 per Professional Development undergraduate credit and $100 per Professional Development graduate credit. Due to the nature of this program, all credits earned are Professional Development credits that cannot be applied toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Carthage.
Fall courses begin in mid- to late-October. Look for the Fall schedule every year in September.
Spring courses begin in mid-March and may continue until May. Look for the Spring schedule in December.
Summer courses begin in early July and may continue until early August. Look for the Summer schedule in May.
