Video Networking
Each semester Adult Education at Carthage is proud to offer several courses via video networking. As part of the statewide network, schools across Wisconsin have installed two-way video classrooms where participants in more than one classroom can see and hear participants from all of the other locations. In southeastern Wisconsin alone there are 19 possible sites:
Kenosha County
- Carthage
- Gateway Kenosha
- Indian Trail Academy
- Kenosha Unified School District Educational Support Center
- Lakeside Technical Academy
- Reuther High School
- University of Wisconsin-Parkside
- Wilmot High School
Racine County
- Gateway Burlington
- Gateway Racine
- St. Catherine's High School
- Waterford High School
Walworth County
- Bigfoot High School
- Delavan-Darien High School
- Elkhorn High School
- Gateway Elkhorn
- Lake Geneva High School
- Williams Bay High School
- Wisconsin School for the Deaf
The courses are offered in person at Carthage in Lentz Hall Room 200. In addition, you will be able to attend via live two-way video conferencing from a site that may be closer to your home or work. Check the Badgernet site for a list of locations available throughout Wisconsin.
At the time of registration you will have the opportunity to provide preferred locations that may be closer to your work or home. The exact off-campus sites that will provide the two-way video conferencing for Carthage's SWING Network will be determined at a later time.
Since course materials are often provided to participants, we kindly request that distance learners register a minimum of one week prior to the first class meeting to provide sufficient time for the confirmation of off-campus sites and for the delivery of materials. However, arrangements can be made for express delivery at the student's expense for late registrations.
