Receiving "all" List Mailings in Digest Mode

If you would rather not get every message that is sent to "all" (like this one) separately, then you can change your list subscription to DIGEST mode. That way, each morning, you get one message containing all of the "all messages" from the previous day.

At the top of that message is a list of the Subjects of the messages it includes. If you see one you want to look at, just scroll down until you get to that part. The disadvantages of digest mode are: 1) If you want to keep any part of the message, you have to keep the whole thing, and 2) You won't get the messages exactly when they were sent out, but at about 5 a.m. the next morning.

If you would like to use or try DIGEST mode, send a blank message to:
   all-digest@carthage.edu

If, at any time, you'd like to go back to the regular FEED mode -- where you get individual messages again -- send a blank message to:
   all-feed@carthage.edu

I believe that the mode of delivery will change the next day.

You can set the mode for other lists that you belong to as well. Just send a blank message to:
   listname-digest@carthage.edu or
   listname-feed@carthage.edu
where listname is the name of the list you belong to. For example, send a message to student-digest@carthage.edu if you would like to get your all student mailings in digest mode.
