Using Draft mode
The maximum idle time on an e-mail session is two hours. That means that,
if you do not click Send or change from one message to another, your e-mail
session will be "disconnected." In order to avoid losing a message that
you have been working on for a long time, you can use "Draft Mode." Follow
the instructions below:
- Create a Drafts mailbox:
On the Mailboxes screen, type "Drafts" (without the quotes) in the box
at the top and click on the Create Mailbox button.
-
Enable the Save Drafts option:
- Click on the Settings link at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to the prompt, just below the Signature section, that says "Store Drafts in:"
- From the pull-down list, select the mailbox Drafts
- Click on the Update button
The above steps need only be done once. Then, when typing a message that
you want to save and continue editing later, follow the instructions below:
-
Save Draft:
At any time in authoring a message, click on the Save as Draft button on the Compose screen.
-
Continue Editing your Draft:
- Go to the Mailboxes screen and click on the Drafts mailbox.
- Open the message you want to work on.
- Click on the Edit Draft link near the top of the message.
- Continue editing the message.
You may click on Save Draft again to save multiple drafts or click Send when you are finished.
