Novelist Liam Callanan is author of All Saints and The Cloud Atlas, nominated for the Edgar Allen Poe Award for best first novel. In addition he publishes short fiction and non-fiction in literary journals and newspapers, including Forbes and the New York Times, and contributes to public radio. Mr. Callanan holds degrees from Yale and Georgetown and is currently director of the creative writing program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He will visit Carthage in the Visiting Writers' Series on Wednesday, 24 October 2007, reading his fiction in the Niemann Theatre at 4pm and discussing writing in Clausen 113 at 5:30pm.
