Carthage can provide you with full text of almost any article if you supply a complete, accurate citation. (If necessary, InfoDesk staff can help you correct problem citations.) First check Carthage paper and microform holdings, as well as the electronic sources subscribed to by the college, for local availability. If full text cannot be found in any of these formats—on-campus or online—, then you can order the article (or book) by interlibrary loan. By searching for the journal, sometimes called "source," in the library catalog under Journal Title, you can find out if Carthage owns it, what issues it owns, whether the format is paper or microfilm/fiche, and by implication, where in the library the material is located. Ebsco A-to-Z indicates which of Carthage's electronic databases contains full text of a particular journal issue and also provides a hyperlink to the title. On the Ebsco A-to-Z webpage, you can navigate to your journal title by clicking on the first letter, then on the first two letters, and finally on the page number that is most likely to contain the title that you're looking for. Alternatively, you can enter a word(s) that is part of the journal title in the Find slot at the upper right, and press Search. Each journal listing in Ebsco A-to-Z contains one or more hyperlinked databases, which can connect you directly to the periodical title you're seeking. The way it does so may vary slightly, but in general you choose year, issue, and then select from a chronologically arranged list of articles. A Find or Search within publication box may also be provided, often with the journal title and date already encoded and inserted. Ebsco A-to-Z represents Carthage's entire collection of electronic journals. If you are computing remotely, however, there are some caveats. Only the databases on the Electronic Resources page can be accessed, and you must be using a proxy. Occasionally the A-to-Z hyperlink still won't connect. As a workaround, try going to the Electronic Resources page (at home) or the Finding Articles page (on campus). Select the journal title and issue, and search for your article from there.
