Dubbing miniDV to DVD on Sony machine

(Dubbing Stations 1 &2)

1. Place miniDV tape to be copied in the JVC mchine.
2. Push the "DV" button on the face of the machine.
3. Rewind the tape -- turn the knob on the face of the machine to the left.
4. Place a blank disc in the DVD tray of the Sony VCR/DVD.
5. Watch the monitor to assure the DVD loading process completes -- "Loading Disc Date. Please Wait."
6. With the remote control for the Sony machine, change the channel on the Sony mahcine to "Line 1".
7. Cue the tape in the JVC machine, finding the point at which you want dubbing to begin. Then press "Stop" on that machine.
8. With the remote control for the Sony, press “Rec Mode” (beneath the sliding panel on the remote) until (on the monitor), you see that the recording time exceeds the amount of tape to be transferred according to the table to the right of the machine.
9. Press "Play" on the JVC machine and AT THE SAME TIME press "Record" on the face of the Sony machine.
10. Recording begins.
11. At the conclusion of recording, press the Stop button on the Sony machine.

ADDING A TITLE ON THE DVD & FINALIZING

1. When dubbing is finished, press the stop button on the DVD side of the Sony machine.
2. Press the DVD button on the face of the machine to enter into DVD mode.
3. Press “System Menu” on the remote.  “Title List” will be highlighted.  Press Enter.
4. A screen will appear showing the chapter(s) you’ve recorded.  Press the right arrow => .
5. Scroll down to title name.
6. Press “Enter” on the remote.
7. On the remote, press the down arrow key to select “Clear”.
8. Press “Enter” on the remote.
9. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the letters to title your DVD.  Select each letter with the “Enter” button.
10. Navigate to the “Finish” button.  Press Enter.
11. Press “System Menu” to escape.
12. Press System Menu again, and arrow down to “Disc Setting”  Press “Enter”.
13. Arrow Down to “Disc Finalize”.  Press “Enter”.
14. Arrow to “OK”  Press “Enter”.
15. Wait for disc to finalize.
