Dubbing VHS to DVD on Sony Station #1
(Dubbing Station 1)
- Place VHS tape to be copied in JVC VHS Player.
- Rewind the tape.
- Eject tape and reinsert it – this resets counter to 0:00
- Fast-Forward the VCR and watch the counter to determine how long the tape is. When you find the end of the recording, stop the VCR.
- Eject tape and reinsert it to reset the counter at 0:00.
- Rewind the tape.
- Eject tape and insert it into the VHS side of the Sony VCR/DVD.
- Rewind the tape. The JVC unit displays the length of the desired recording.
- Place a blank disc in the DVD tray of the Sony VCR/DVD. Wait -- "Loading Disc Data".
- With the remote control for the Sony, press “Rec Mode” (beneath the sliding panel on the remote) until (on the monitor), you see that the recording time exceeds the amount of tape to be transferred according to the table to the right of the machine.
- Cue up your tape to the beginning of your clip.
- Press “Stop” on the JVC machine..
- Press play on the VCR and (at the same time) press “Rec”on the face of the Sony machine.
- Recording begins.
- Upon the conclusion of the video, push “Stop” on both machines.
ADDING A TITLE ON THE DVD & FINALIZING
- When dubbing is finished, press the stop button on theSony remote.
- Press “System Menu” on the remote. “Title List” will be highlighted. Press Enter.
- A screen will appear showing the chapter(s) you’ve recorded. Press the right arrow => .
- Scroll down to title name.
- Press “Enter” on the remote.
- On the remote, press the down arrow key to select “Clear”.
- Press “Enter” on the remote.
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to the letters to title your DVD. Select each letter with the “Enter” button.
- Navigate to the “Finish” button. Press Enter.
- Press “System Menu” to escape.
- Press System Menu again, and arrow down to “Disc Setting” Press “Enter”.
- Arrow Down to “Disc Finalize”. Press “Enter”.
- Arrow to “OK” Press “Enter”.
- Wait for disc to finalize.
