Art students looking for inspiration need only walk out their
classroom door. The ever-changing Lake Michigan provides students with
four seasons of inspiration, and campus is filled with stately oaks and
colorful gardens. The Pike River
winds its way through campus, and has been home to a family of foxes
and other wildlife.
Beyond campus, Carthage is located within an hour's drive of Chicago and Milwaukee, giving students excellent access to world-renowned museums and galleries. Students enjoy visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, the Calatrava-designed Milwaukee Art Museum, and many more independent art galleries throughout southeastern Wisconsin and the Chicago area.
