The H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art at Carthage College brings established and emerging contemporary artists' work from the Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison areas, as well as offering student exhibit space.

Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago is a world-renowned art museum that houses more than 300,000 works of art and includes among its treasures "American Gothic" by Grant Wood and Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks." In May 2009, the Art Institute of Chicago opened a new Modern Wing designed by Renzo Piano, the largest addition in the museum's history.

Racine Art Museum

The Racine Art Museum is one of North America's most significant contemporary craft museums, focusing on contemporary crafts from internationally recognized artists in ceramics, fibers, glass, metals and wood. It features more than 4,000 objects in the permanent collection.

Milwaukee Art Museum

The Field Museum
