Carthage physics major Brad Frye can answer that question in one word: "Amazing," says Frye, '10.
Erin Martin, '09, was a little more descriptive for those of us — most of us — who will never bounce around an airplane at 28,000 ... 27,000 ... 26,000 feet.
"It's a lot like being on a trampoline, but you're moving in slow motion almost," she said. "It's really easy to jump up and down, and when you jump, you just keep going up." And up, and up. "Then it takes a lot longer to come back down."
Samantha Kreppel, '10, said she can't help but think of the moon every time she steps into an elevator now. "It's hard to describe the exact feeling (of weightlessness), but it would be like being in an elevator that's constantly falling — without the untimely end!"
