Carthage's Tyler Wollberg Ties for 15th Place at NCAA Men's Golf Championship and Earns All-America Honors

Tyler Wollberg 15th at NCAA ChampionshipWhile Carthage missed out on winning the CCIW’s automatic team qualifier to the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, Tyler Wollberg  (Jr., Mundelein, Ill., team-leading 73.3 season average) was selected to play as an individual.  Wollberg was one of five individuals selected to play at the Tuesday-Friday, May 13-16 championship at the Chateau Elon Resort in Braselton, Ga.  This year’s event was co-hosted by Emory University and the Gwinnett Sports Commission.  Wollberg finished in a four-way tie for 15th place with a 76-73-77-74-300, 15 strokes behind the leader, St. John Fisher’s Scott Harris Jr., at 68-71-71-75-285.  With his top-15 finish, Wollberg earned Golf Coaches Association of America/PING second-team All-America.
