Carthage's Tyler Wollberg Ties for 15th Place at NCAA Men's Golf Championship and Earns All-America Honors

Tyler_Wollberg_1Tyler Wollberg 15th at NCAA ChampionshipWhile Carthage missed out on winning the CCIW’s automatic team qualifier to the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, Tyler Wollberg  (Jr., Mundelein, Ill., team-leading 73.3 season average) was selected to play as an individual.  Wollberg was one of five individuals selected to play at the Tuesday-Friday, May 13-16 championship at the Chateau Elon Resort in Braselton, Ga.  This year’s event was co-hosted by Emory University and the Gwinnett Sports Commission.  Wollberg finished in a four-way tie for 15th place with a 76-73-77-74-300, 15 strokes behind the leader, St. John Fisher’s Scott Harris Jr., at 68-71-71-75-285.  With his top-15 finish, Wollberg earned Golf Coaches Association of America/PING second-team All-America.
