Jeff obviously had a great year in 2007, and I think he’s the best receiver in this league…this year, he’s faster, and he’s stronger, and I think, down the road, he’s an All-America candidate.

2007: Named second-team All-CCIW…starting wide receiver in all 10 games…set a Carthage season record with 67 receptions for 757 yards and nine touchdowns…caught eight passes for 120 yards in the Oct. 27 Millikin game…caught a pair of touchdown passes against Wheaton (Ill.) on Nov. 3.
2006: Played in seven-of-10 games…caught 20 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown…longest catch of 35 yards in the Oct. 28 Millikin game…rushed three times for 10 yards on reverse plays…punted in five games and averaged 34.8 yards per attempt with a season-best effort of 45 yards at Illinois Wesleyan on Oct. 7…missed the last two games of the season with a quadriceps contusion.
High School: Named All-Mid-Suburban League his senior year on a 9-0 league-championship team…Daily Herald all-area both his junior and senior seasons and Pioneer Press All-Northwest as a senior…his junior-year team also won an MSL title…set Fremd High School records for career reception yardage (1,420), season receptions (52) and season reception yards (848)…coached by Mike Donatucci…four-year member of the basketball team and named both all-conference and all-area his senior year…all-state academic, all-area academic and high honors student.
Personal: Business administration major…brother of teammate Mike Koeneman…named to the Carthage dean’s list three times and a two-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Aug. 26, 1987.
