2008:  Finished 16th in the 200 backstroke (1:52.62), 18th in the 400 individual medley (4:07.05) and 25th in the 100 backstroke (52.88) at the NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming Championship…earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America honorable mention All-America honors for his 16th-place finish in the 200 backstroke…won three events at the CCIW Swimming Championship, taking first place in the 100 backstroke (53.07), the 200 backstroke (1:52.42) and the 400 individual medley (4:08.97) and part of a conference-champion 800 freestyle relay team…won the 200 individual medley at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

High School:  A three-time qualifier for the Illinois High School Association state championship and earned all-state honors his senior year with an 11th-place finish in the 100 backstroke…coached by Chad Ganden…four-year member of the water polo team…coached by Bill Schalz for the Academy Bullets club team.

Personal:  Double major in computer science and physics…son of Kevin and Sandy Drake…his father placed third at the 1976 Olympic trials…his brother, Kenton Drake, is a swimmer at UC-Santa Cruz and the top qualifier in both the 100 and the 200 breastroke at the 2007 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming Championship…born June 22, 1989.
