Women's Cross Country 19th at Oct. 17 UW-Oshkosh Invitational

The Carthage College women’s cross country team (33-26) finished 19th at the Saturday, Oct. 17 Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Brooks Invitational” at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis.  Calvin College won the 34-team event with 80 points, followed by Washington University (Mo.) second at 93, Minnesota-Duluth third at 98, DePauw University fourth at 140, Wisconsin-Oshkosh fifth at 182, Bethel University (Minn.) sixth at 1876, Hope College seventh at 188, the University of Chicago eighth at 211, CCIW-member North Central College ninth at 284, Wisconsin-Stevens Point 10th at 292, Wisconsin-Whitewater 11th at 341, CCIW-member Wheaton College (Ill.) 12th at 352, conference-member Illinois Wesleyan University 13th at 390, Olivet Nazarene University 14th at 431, Carroll University 15th at 450, CCIW-member Elmhurst College 16th at 453, the Illinois Institute of Technology 17th at 459, Monmouth College 18th at 480 and Carthage 19th with 513 points.

Carthage is idle on Oct. 24 and returns to action at the Saturday, Oct. 31 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Cross Country Championship at Eldridge Park in Elmhurst, Ill., beginning at Noon.
