Carthage Football 2007 Travel Plans

Sept. 15 at Whittier: The team will leave campus on Friday, Sept. 14 in two groups bound for Chicago Midway Airport. The first bus will leave at 3:30 a.m., CDT and will depart from Midway at 6:35 a.m. on Southwest Airlines flight #1767 for Los Angeles International Airport, arriving at 9 a.m., PDT. The second bus will leave campus at 5:15 a.m., CDT and will depart Midway at 8:05 a.m. on Southwest Airlines flight #2271 arriving in Los Angeles at 10:30 a.m. The team will stay overnight on Friday-Saturday at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel (1700 S. Harbor Blvd.714-772-5900). On Sunday, Sept. 16, the first group leaves Los Angeles on Southwest flight #1366 at 9:05 a.m., PDT and arrives at Midway at 2:50 p.m., CDT. The second group leaves on Southwest flight #357 at 10:15 a.m., PDT and arrives at 4:05 p.m., CDT.

Sept. 29 at Elmhurst: The team will leave campus at 10 a.m. and return immediately following the game. To reach Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill., follow I-294 south. Exit I-294 at I-290 west and exit immediately at North Avenue (Illinois Highway 64). Follow North Avenue into Elmhurst and go past York Road. After York road, take the third left (Maple Avenue). Follow southbound Maple Avenue across the railroad tracks and turn right at the second street past the Elmhurst Physical Education Center (Alexander Boulevard). Langhorst Field is on the left.

Oct. 13 at North Park: The team will leave campus at 10 a.m. and return immediately after the game. To reach North Park University in Chicago, follow I-94 toward Chicago. Exit at Cicero Avenue and turn left at first light (Foster Avenue). Follow Foster Avenue about two miles to reach the campus, which is at the corner of Foster and Kedzie Avenue. The Holmgren Athletic Complex is two blocks beyond campus on the right.

Oct. 27 at Millikin: The team will leave campus on Friday, Oct. 26 at Noon, practice that afternoon at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. and stay overnight at the Holiday Inn in Decatur, Ill. (5170 N. Wingate Drive, 217-875-5500). The team will return immediately after the game on Oct. 27. To reach Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., follow I-55 south to Bloomington. Exit I-74 east in Bloomington and go to U.S. Highway 51 south to Decatur. Follow Business U.S. 51 to El Dorado Street (U.S. Highway 36) in downtown Decatur and turn left. Turn left on Oakland Avenue and follow to Frank M. Lindsay Field

Nov. 3 at Wheaton (Ill.): The team will leave campus at 9:30 a.m. and return after the game. To reach Wheaton College (Ill.) in Wheaton, Ill., follow I-294 to I-88 (East-West Tollway). Exit at Naperville Road and go left at the bottom of the ramp. Follow Naperville Road north to Roosevelt Road and turn right. Go three or four blocks to Chase Street and turn left. Cross the railroad tracks and McCully Field is on the right.
