2008 Carthage Men's Soccer Travel Information

Aug. 29-30 at Buena Vista Classic:  To reach Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, take Wisconsin Highway 50 west from Kenosha to Lake Geneva.  In Lake Geneva, take U.S. Highway 12 to I-43 and follow I-43 into Beloit (I-43 becomes Milwaukee Road in Beloit).  Follow Wisconsin Highways 81/11 west to Monroe, Wis., where the two road split.  Stay on Highway 11 west toward Dubuque, Iowa.  Just east of the Mississippi River, Highway 11 ends at U.S. Highway 61.  Follow Highway 61 south across the river and into Dubuque.  Exit U.S. Highway 61 at U.S. Highway 20 west.  Follow U.S. 20 west through Iowa, past Waterloo, past I-35 and past Fort Dodge.  Fifty miles past Fort Dodge, go north on U.S. Highway 71 for 26 miles to reach Storm Lake.  Turn right at Vestal Street, and the Buena Vista Soccer Complex is on the left, just past 9th Street.

Sept. 13 at Clarke:  Clarke College plays its home soccer schedule at the Dubuque Soccer Complex in Dubuque, Iowa.  To reach that facility, take Wisconsin Highway 50 west from Kenosha to Lake Geneva.  In Lake Geneva, take U.S. Highway 12 to I-43 and follow I-43 into Beloit (I-43 becomes Milwaukee Road in Beloit).  Follow Wisconsin Highways 81/11 west to Monroe, Wis., where the two road split.  Stay on Highway 11 west toward Dubuque, Iowa.  Just east of the Mississippi River, Highway 11 ends at U.S. Highway 61.  Follow Highway 61 south across the river and into Dubuque.  Exit U.S. Highway 61 at U.S. Highway 20 west.  Turn right onto JFK Road. and travel approximately two miles, proceeding through the Northwest Arterial Intersection.  The soccer complex is on the left.

Sept. 16 at Concordia (Wis.):  To reach Concordia University (Wis.) in Mequon, Wis., follow I-94 north to downtown Milwaukee.  At the I-94/I-794 junction, continue north on I-43 towards Green Bay, Wis. Exit at Wisconsin Highway 167 east (about 20 miles north of downtown Milwaukee).  Turn right off the ramp.  Just past the railroad tracks, turn left at Lakeshore Drive North.  Follow Lakeshore Drive about two miles to the campus.  After you enter campus, stay to the left and go through a building overpass to reach John Buuck Fieldhouse, and the Concordia Soccer Stadium is adjacent to that facility.

Sept. 19 at Carroll (Wis.):  To reach Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis., take I-94 west through Milwaukee.  Exit at Wisconsin Highway 164, which will become E. North Street) in Waukesha.  Follow North Street for three traffic lights and turn left at Barstow.  Follow Barstow for about 12 blocks, and Van Male Field, Carroll's football and soccer field will be on the right.  Alternatively, exit I-94 at U.S. Highway 18 (East Moreland Blvd.).  Follow Moreland, and where the road splits, follow the left fork (East Main Street).  Turn left on North East Avenue, right on College Street and right on Barstow.  Schneider Stadium will be on the left.

Sept. 21 at St. Norbert:  To reach St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis., follow I-94 north to Milwaukee.  Exit I-94 at I-43 north to Green Bay.  Exit I-43 at Wisconsin Highway 172 (exit #180).  Turn left at Webster Avenue, go two miles and turn right at George Street.  Turn right at Broadway, and John R. Minihan Stadium will be on the right, just south of the entrance to St. Norbert Abbey.  The St. Norbert Soccer Field is adjacent to the stadium.

Sept. 24 at North Central:  To reach North Central College in Naperville, Ill., follow I-294 south to I-88 (East-West Tollway).  Go west on I-88 and exit at Naperville Road.  Turn right (south) at the bottom of the ramp and follow Naperville Road several miles south.  Turn right at Chicago Avenue and continue for several miles.  Turn left on Brainard and follow the road to the right to North Central College’s athletic complex and Cardinal Stadium.

Oct. 19 at Lake Forest:  To reach Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill., follow U.S. Highway 41 south from Kenosha and turn left on Deerpath Road.  Follow Deerpath through the Lake Forest business district and across the railroad tracks.  Stay on Deerpath and at the next stop sign you’ll be facing the entrance to North Campus facing the entrance to the College's North Campus.  Turn right on Sheridan Road.  Go past the entrance for the middle campus and go past Rosemary Road on the right.  Turn right on Maplewood Road, and the Sports Center is on your left.  Proceed two blocks farther west for Farwell Field, which is located behind Halas Hall.

Oct. 24 at Millikin:  While Millikin plays most of its home soccer contests at the on-campus Millikin Soccer Complex, the Oct. 24 Carthage contest will be played at the Decatur Park District Soccer Complex at East Mound Park in Decatur, Ill.  To reach that site, follow I-55 south to Bloomington.  Exit I-74 east in Bloomington and go to U.S. Highway 51 south to Decatur.  Turn left at Mound Road, and East Mound Park is on the right, about six blocks down, adjacent to and just north of Stephen Decatur Middle School.

Oct. 29 at Elmhurst:  To reach Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill., follow I-294 south.  Exit I-294 at I-290 west and exit immediately at North Avenue (Illinois Highway 64).  Follow North Avenue into Elmhurst and go past York Road.  After York road, take the third left (Maple Avenue).  Follow southbound Maple Avenue across the railroad tracks and turn right at the second street past the Elmhurst Physical Education Center  (Alexander Boulevard).  Langhorst Field is on the left.
