2012 Carthage Men’s Volleyball Travel Plans

Jan. 17 at Loyola (Ill.):  Loyola University (Ill.) plays its home volleyball schedule at the Joseph J. Gentile Center in Chicago.  To reach that facility, follow I-94 south into Chicago.  Exit I-94 at North Caldwell/West Peterson Avenue (U.S. Highway 14 east, exit #41 B).  Follow West Peterson for four and one-half miles and turn left on Broadway Street, which becomes Sheridan Road.  Turn right at West Loyola Avenue and turn left at North Winthrop Avenue to reach the Joseph J. Gentile Center parking structure.

Jan. 27-28 at the Nazareth Tournament:  Travel plans TBA.

Feb. 17 at Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne:  To reach Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Ind., follow I-94 through Chicago.  Exit I-94 at I-65 south.  Exit I-65 at U.S. Highway 30 east to Fort Wayne.  In Fort Wayne, go past U.S. Highway 27 where U.S. 30 becomes Coliseum Boulevard.  The campus will be on the left just past Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.  Go over the bridge and turn left at the second stop light (Cresent Ave.).  At the next stop light, turn left and follow the signs to the Hilliard Gates Sports Center.

Feb. 19 at Ohio State:  To reach Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, follow I-94 through Chicago.  Exit I-94 at I-90 east (the Chicago Skyway and subsequently the Indiana Toll Road).  Exit I-90 at I-65 south.  Exit I-65 at I-865 outside of Indianapolis.  That highway becomes I-465 east.  Exit I-465 at I-70 east to Columbus, Ohio.  Exit I-70 at Ohio Highway 315 north.  Exit Highway 315 at Lane Avenue and turn right.  Turn right again at Fyffe Road and turn left at Woody Hayes Drive.  St. John Arena will be on the left across the bridge.

March 3-4 at the CVC Weekend I at Fontbonne:  To reach Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Mo., follow I-294 around Chicago, Ill.  Exit I-294 at I-55 south toward St. Louis, Mo.  Follow I-55 across the Mississippi River into St. Louis and take I-64/U.S. 40 west of downtown.  Exit I-64/U.S. 40 at Clayton Road.  Turn right (north) at South Big Bend Boulevard and right at Wydown Boulevard.  Go past the main entrance to campus and turn right at the second entrance to reach the Dunham Student Activity Center. 

March 9 at Quincy:  To reach Quincy University in Quincy, Ill., follow I-294 around Chicago, Ill.  Exit I-294 at I-55 south toward St. Louis, Mo.  In Springfield, Ill., exit I-55 at I-72 west.  Just east of the Mississippi River, I-72 becomes I-172 north into Quincy.  Exit I-172 at Broadway Street.  Turn right at 18th Street and follow three blocks to campus.  Turn right at Oak Street, and Pepsi Arena is on the left.

March 10-11 at the Fontbonne Tournament:  To reach Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Mo., follow I-294 around Chicago, Ill.  Exit I-294 at I-55 south toward St. Louis, Mo.  Follow I-55 across the Mississippi River into St. Louis and take I-64/U.S. 40 west of downtown.  Exit I-64/U.S. 40 at Clayton Road.  Turn right (north) at South Big Bend Boulevard and right at Wydown Boulevard.  Go past the main entrance to campus and turn right at the second entrance to reach the Dunham Student Activity Center. 

March 28 at St. Xavier:  To reach St. Xavier University in Chicago, Ill., follow I-94 south and exit I-94 at I-294 southbound.  Exit I-294 at 95th Street east to Pulaski Avenue (about five miles east of I-294) and turn right.  Go one mile to 103rd Street and turn left.  The campus is on the left.  From the Chicago loop, take I-94 south (Dan Ryan Expressway).  Exit I-94 at I-57 south.  Exit I-57 at Halsted Street (exit #357).  Cross Halsted Street and keep to the right to reach 99th Street, which curves to the right.  Turn left at Central Park and turn right into campus.

March 31-April 1 CVC Weekend II at the Milwaukee School of Engineering:  To reach the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wis., take I-94 north to Milwaukee, Wis.  Exit I-94 at I-794 east.  Exit I-794 at North Broadway.  The Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Kern Center are at 1245 N. Broadway.

April 4 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering:  To reach the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wis., take I-94 north to Milwaukee, Wis.  Exit I-94 at I-794 east.  Exit I-794 at North Broadway.  The Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Kern Center are at 1245 N. Broadway.

April 13-14 at the Continental Volleyball Conference Tournament at Thiel College:  Travel plans TBA.
