2008 Carthage Men’s Cross Country Travel Plans

Sept. 20 at the Concordia (Wis.) Invitational: To reach Concordia University (Wis.) in Mequon, Wis., follow I-94 north to downtown Milwaukee.  At the I-94/I-794 junction, continue north on I-43 towards Green Bay, Wis. Exit at Wisconsin Highway 167 east (about 20 miles north of downtown Milwaukee).  Turn right off the ramp.  Just past the railroad tracks, turn left at Lakeshore Drive North.  Follow Lakeshore Drive about two miles to the campus.

Sept. 27 at the University of Minnesota “Roy Griak Invitational”:  The University of Minnesota “Roy Griak Invitational” will be run at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.  To reach that facility, take I-94 north to Milwaukee, Wis.  Exit I-94 at I-894 west around Milwaukee.  Exit I-894 at I-94 west.  Follow I-94 past Eau Claire, Wis., to Minneapolis, Minn.  Exit I-94 at Minnesota Highway 280 north.  Exit Highway 280 at Larpenteur Avenue and turn right.  The golf course is at 2275 Larpenteur Avenue. 

Oct. 3 at the Carthage Invitational:  The Carthage Invitational will be run at the Wisconsin-Parkside course in Kenosha, Wis.  From Carthage, take Wisconsin Highway 32 north to County Road E and turn left.  Go past County Roads Y and G and turn right at County Road JR.

Oct. 18 at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational:  The Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational will be run at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis.  To reach that site, take I-94 north to Milwaukee.  Exit I-94 at I-894 around the city, and exit I-894 at U.S. 41 north to Oshkosh.  Exit U.S. 41 at Wisconsin Highway 110 north in Oshkosh.  Follow Highway 110 about 10 miles until it intersects Wisconsin Highway 116.  The Lake Breeze Golf Course is just past that intersection at 6333 State Road 110.

Nov. 1 at the CCIW Cross Country Championship:  Carthage College will play host to the 2008 CCIW Cross Country Championship at the Wisconsin-Parkside course in Somers, Wis.  From Carthage, take Wisconsin Highway 32 north to County Road E and turn left.  Go past County Roads Y and G and turn right at County Road JR.  The course is on the left and parking is available on the right.

Nov. 8 at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Cross Country Championship:  Augustana College (Ill.) will play host to the 2008 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championship at the Credit Island Golf Course in Davenport, Iowa.  To reach that facility, follow I-294 south around Chicago.  Exit I-294 at I-88 west and follow to the Quad Cities area.  Exit I-88 at I-74/80 west toward Des Moines, Iowa.  Follow I-74/80 across the Mississippi River, go past the exit for I-74 south into Bettendorf, Iowa, and exit I-80 at U.S. Highway 61 south into Davenport.  Highway 61 dead ends at West River Drive at the Mississippi River.  Turn left and go three block to the golf course. 

Nov. 15 at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship:  Hanover College will play host to the 2008 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship at the L.S. Ayres Complex in Hanover, Ind.
