Cindy Czubakowski, Carthage’s all-time leading scorer with 1,681 points.  Czubakowski (1984-87) was named American Women’s Sports Federation NCAA Division III third-team All-American in 1987.  She is ranked first on the Carthage career lists for both field goals (631) and field-goal attempts (1,601), third in field-goal percentage (.460), third in steals (239) and fourth in assists (355).  Her 40 points against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Dec. 10, 1983, and her 16 field goals versus Benedictine University on Jan. 4, 1985, remain Lady Reds game records.  Czubakowski was inducted in the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.

 

Sandy Burkhardt (on the right, passing the ball), lettered four times from 1977-80 and finished her career with 1,661 points, now second on the Carthage career scoring list.  Burkhardt had four straight seasons with 100 or more steals, set a season steals record with 120 in 1980 and is ranked first on the career steals list with 442.  She holds two Lady Reds game records, one for 13 assists against St. Norbert College in 1980 and the other for 12 steals in a game against Carroll College in 1978.  Burkhardt was named first-team All-WWIAC four times, named a GTE Academic All-American in 1980, and was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 1989.

 

Kathy Mucha, third on the Carthage career scoring list (1,552 points) and second for rebounds (1,227), was named All-Wisconsin Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in both 1977 and 1978.  She was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991

 

JoEllen Dickert, sixth on the Carthage career scoring list (1,395 points), holds Carthage career records for most made three-point field goals (139, 1989-92) and best three-point field-goal percentage (.463, 139-300).  Her career three-point percentage is second only on the NCAA Division III career list to Rhodes College's Ellen Thompson (.490, 204-416, 1989-92).  Dickert was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.

 

Barb Heinig, who played from 1979-82, is ranked fourth on the Carthage career scoring list (1,546 points), second for field goals (683), first for field-goal attempts (1,601), seventh for field-goal percentage (.427), 10th in free throws (180), ninth in free-throw attempts (350), third in rebounds (1,016) and first in blocked shots (359).  Heinig set a 1981 season record with 101 blocks and a 1982 season record with 207 field goals.  She set a game record on Dec., 9, 1978, with 30 field-goal attempts versus Wisconsin-Platteville and another game record with 10 blocked shots versus North Park on Jan. 22, 1981.  Heinig was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.

 

Angela Beyer (2001-04) set Carthage career records for three-point field goals (177) and three-point field-goal attempts (564) and tied a CCIW career mark with 104 three-point attempts.  In 2004, Beyer set Carthage season records for three-pointers (82) and  three-point attempts (245), set a CCIW season record with 44 three-pointers in conference play and set Carthage game records with eight three-pointers at Wheaton College (Ill.) on Jan. 17, 2004 and 18 three-point field-goal attempts at Illinois Wesleyan University on Feb. 17, 2004.
