Becky Rucks
Becky Rucks was named a 1988 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American with a second-place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Northhampton, Mass. Rucks followed that with a ninth-place finish in same event at that year’s NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Northfield, Minn.
Melissa Todd
Melissa Todd, was first named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America with a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run at the 1996 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Naperville, Ill. Todd won the event the next year in La Crosse, Wis., and earned her second-straight USTFCCCA All-America award . She was also named USTFCCCA All-America with an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the 1996 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in Northhampton, Mass.
Kim Deaton
Kim Deaton was a four-time outdoor U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America with a sixth-place finish in the 1997 javelin in La Crosse, Wis., a seventh-place finish in the 1998 heptathlon in St. Paul, Minn., a third-place finish in the 1999 heptathlon in Berea, Ohio, and a seventh-place finish in the 2000 javelin in Naperville, Ill.. She was also named a GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America two straight years, second-team in 1999 and first-team in 2000.
Tina Moran
Tina Moran earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors in 2000 with a second-place finish in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Naperville, Ill.
Becki Schmitz
Becki Schmitz was a five-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American. She won a national title in the 20-pound weight throw at the 2002 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in Ada, Ohio and was named USTFCCCA “Women’s Indoor Performer of the Year.” Schmitz finished third in the discus and sixth in the hammer throw at the 2001 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Decatur, Ill.; seventh in the discus at the 2000 outdoor championship in Naperville, Ill.; and eighth in the hammer at the 1999 outdoor championship in Berea, Ohio. Over the course of her four-year career, Schmitz won nine CCIW outdoor titles and two indoor championships. Schmitz was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
Latrice Powell
Latrice Powell was a four-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American, finishing seventh in the 400-meter dash at the 2003 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in Greencastle, Ind.;, fifth as part of a 1,600-meter relay team, also at the 2003 indoor championship; first place as part of a national-championship 400-meter relay team at the 2003 outdoor championship in St. Lawrence, N.Y.; and seventh in the 1,600-meter relay, also at the 2003 outdoor championship.
Keya Willis
Keya Willis was named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America twice in 2002, the first with a fourth-place finish in the 55-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in Ada, Ohio, and the second as part of a seventh-place team in the outdoor 400-meter relay in St. Paul, Minn.
Caretha Carroll
Caretha Carroll earned outdoor U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors four-straight years as part of a 200-meter relay team that finished seventh at the 2002 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in St. Paul, Minn.; first in 2003 in St. Lawrence, N.Y.;, seventh in 2004 in Decatur, Ill.; and second in 2005 in Waverly, Iowa.
Veronica Hunter
Veronica Hunter earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors as part of a 400-meter relay team that finished seventh nationally at the 2002 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in St. Paul, Minn., and second in 2005 in Waverly, Iowa. Hunter was also part of fourth-place team in the 1,600-meter relay at the 2002 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in Ada, Ohio.
Muffy Israel
Muffy Israel earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America citations in 17 events over her four-year career. As a freshman in 2002, she finished fifth in the indoor 55-meter dash and fourth on the indoor 1,600-meter relay team in Ada, Ohio. She won the 2002 NCAA Division III national title in the outdoor 100-meter dash in St. Paul, Minn., while finishing fifth in the 200-meter dash and seventh as part of a 400-meter relay team. In her sophomore year of 2003, she was fourth in the indoor 55-meter dash and fifth as a member of the indoor 1,600-meter relay in Greencastle, Ind.; third in the outdoor 100-meter dash in St. Paul, Minn.; eighth in the outdoor 200-meter dash; and a member of a national-championship outdoor 400-meter relay team. As a junior in 2004, Israel was the national runner-up in the indoor 55-meter dash in Whitewater, Wis.; the national runner-up in the outdoor 100-meter dash in Decatur, Ill.; fifth in the outdoor 200-meter dash; and seventh as part of a 400-meter relay team. In her senior year of 2005, she was fifth in the indoor 55-meter dash in Bloomington, Ill.; fifth in the outdoor 100-meter dash in Waverly, Iowa; and second as a member of the outdoor 400-meter relay team
Israel also won 16 individual CCIW titles, including four-straight titles in the outdoor 100-meter dash, four-straight titles in the outdoor 200-meter dash, four titles in the indoor 55-meter dash and three indoor titles in the 200-meter dash. She was named the “most valuable performer” at the 2005 CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Shea’na Grigsby
Shea’na Grigsby won eight national championships over her four-year career, including three-straight titles in the outdoor 100-meter high hurdles from 2004 to 2006 (Decatur, Ill.; Waverly, Iowa,; and Lisle, Ill.), three-consecutive titles in the indoor 55-meter high hurdles from 2004 to 2006 (Whitewater, Wis.; Bloomington, Ill.; and Northfield, Minn.) and the 2006 title in the outdoor 400-meter intermediate hurdles. She was also part of a national-championship outdoor 400-meter relay team in 2003 in St. Paul, Minn. She earned 17 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America citations, 12 outdoors and five indoors. She was named the USTFCCCA “NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Performer of the Year” in 2004 and CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship MVP in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Grigsby won 11 individual CCIW titles, including four-straight titles in the outdoor 100-meter high hurdles, four-straight in the outdoor 400-meter intermediate hurdles and three-straight titles in the indoor 55-meter high hurdles.
