Beth Nienhuis (left), the CCIW's "Most Outstanding Volleyball Player" in 1990 and a two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Midwest Regional honoree.  Nienhuis was named All-CCIW four times, second-team in 1988 and 1989 and first-team in 1990 and 1991.  She is Carthage's career leader in kills (1,434)  and block solos (440) and ranked fifth in digs (1,183).  She holds Lady Reds season records for attack attempts per game (9.7 in 1991), kills (542 in 1991), kills per game (4.9 in 1991), block solos (171 in 1988), blocks per game (2.74 in 1991) and total blocks (304 in 1991).  Nienhuis was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.

 

Robyn Schenk, second-team All-CCIW three times from 1993 to 1995.  Schenk is ranked 12th on the Carthage career kills list (900), fourth in assists (2,279) and  first in service aces (250).  Schenk was inducted into the Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.

 

Jori Simmons was named American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America three times, honorable mention in both 2005 and 2006 and second team in 2007.  She earned AVCA first-team All-Midwest Region honors all three years,  a first-team All-CCIW selection four-straight years from 2004 to 2007 and the CCIW “Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year” in 2006.  In addition, Simmons was named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine third-team Academic All-America® in both 2006 and 2007.  She is Carthage’s career leader in both attack percentage (.357) and total blocks (663), while ranked second in block assists (489), fifth in block solos (174) and seventh in kills (1,106).  Simmons set a Carthage season record in 2007 with a .407 attack percentage.

 

Kelly Bauer was named American Volleyball Coaches Association first-team All-America in 2007.  She earned AVCA All-Midwest Region honors three times, honorable mention in both 2005 and 2006 and first team in 2007.  Bauer was named All-CCIW four-straight years, first team in 2004 and 2005, second team in 2006 and first team in 2007.  She was named CCIW “Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year” in 2007.  Bauer is ranked third on the Carthage career kills list (1,170), first in assists per game (7.44), second for assists (3,688) and third for service aces (233).
