Chapman Executive-in-Residence

The Chapman Executive-in-Residence program brings prominent business leaders to campus to speak to students and the public. The program is endowed by Carthage Trustee Steven M. Chapman, Group Vice President — Emerging Markets and Businesses, Cummins Inc., who also served as the initial visiting executive.

The 2011 Chapman Executives in Residence are:

David Baskerville, of Baskerville International
Mr. Baskerville, of Baskerville International, has extensive senior international business and education experience, especially in Japan. Previous posts include Executive Vice President at Weyerhaeuser Corp. He hold an M.B.A. from Harvard, M.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Michigan, and M.Div. from the Chicago Lutheran School of Theology. He and Carthage professor Tom Groleau taught a Carthage course on executive leadership. He will be on campus Oct. 26-27, 2011.

Debra Waller, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jockey International
Debra Waller is Chairman of the Carthage Board of Trustees, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jockey International, a global apparel firm based in Kenosha. She is a Carthage graduate, with a degree in elementary and special education. Her professional experience includes commercial banking as well as teaching special education. She has a strong interest in corporate community citizenship, including challenges facing adoptive families. She will be on campus May 1-3, 2012.

The Chapman Executive-in-Residence program is directed by Clausen Center director Art Cyr, economics professor Ron Cronovich, and business professor Dave Brunn.
