
Dr. Leonard Schulze presents the final Hannibal Lecture of the 2009 lecture season. He will speak on "Truth, Tropes and Translations: Reading Augustine and Luther."
Dr. Schulze is a professor in the Communication and Digital Media Department and the English Department, chair of the Division of Fine Arts, and director of the Augustine Institute. In his talk he will explore the experience of reading both Augustine and Luther, focusing on the interaction between the rhetorical and the theological in their writings.
The lecture begins at 4:55 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Niemann Media Theatre, Hedberg Library. All are welcome.
