Presentation, book signing by Dario Castagno

Dario CastagnoThe Carthage Music Department welcomes New York Times best-selling author Dario Castagno to campus on Nov. 8 for a special multimedia presentation and book signing.

Mr. Castagno is the author of the worldwide bestseller "Too Much Tuscan Sun: Confessions of a Chianti Tour Guide," "A Day in Tuscany: More Confessions of a Chianti Tour Guide," and "Too Much Tuscan Wine."

He will present a stirring video travelogue on the Siena area of Tuscany, answer questions, and sign copies of his books. The event will be held at 3 p.m. (prelude music by the Carthage Brass Quintet at 2:45 p.m.) in A. F. Siebert Chapel.

Mr. Castagno's presentation is sponsored by Musica Classica Toscana, which holds the annual Luci Toscane Music and Cultural Arts Festival in the medieval city of Siena, Italy. The festival is organized by Diana Iorio, a musician and former violin instructor at Carthage.

A freewill offering will be taken during the presentation to benefit earthquake victims in Abruzzo, Italy.
