Joe Rolnicki (JoeRo) is the Hall Director for The Oaks Residence Halls and two residential floors reserved at a nearby Best Western. In addition to his hall director responsibilities, JoeRo spends time as an academic adviser for first-year students, helping students prudently navigate their Carthage experience through individual meetings and by teaching a section of the College Success Seminar.

Before Carthage, JoeRo attended and graduated from three colleges near the Chicago-land area: Moraine Valley Community College (Associate of Arts), Dominican University (Bachelor of Arts Psychology), Northern Illinois University (Masters of Science in Education Adult and Higher Education). At Dominican, JoeRo dedicated his services as a residence halls desk attendant, hall representative, orientation leader, and resident assistant. Continuing his residence life experience at NIU, JoeRo acted as the graduate hall director of a primarily first-year hall housing 300 students. JoeRo also embraced opportunities to advise a hall council for one year, participate in various professional and programmatic committees, intern in the Academic Advising office, and complete the NIU Ally program, which encourages professionals to create a safe environment for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) students. In addition to working at Carthage, JoeRo also hopes to be an active alumni/member at MVCC, DU, NIU, Psi Chi, and Phi Theta Kappa.

In his non-work time, JoeRo likes to watch old horror movies (preferably black and white), visit Starbucks, follow professional sports, and slowly read non-fiction works pertaining somehow to psychology.
