College Health Insurance

Carthage provides excess health insurance to all full-time, undergraduate students for the academic year.

  • Students are automatically enrolled; there is no additional charge.
  • Insurance brochures are available from the Health and Counseling Center.
  • Questions can be directed to the nurse.

TO USE the secondary health insurance:

  • A referral from the nurse is required, unless it is an emergency.
  • Contact the nurse as soon as possible after an emergency visit.
  • Complete a claim form at the Health and Counseling Center, and submit it to the nurse.

The Health and Counseling Center also maintains primary (family) insurance information if needed.
