Parking Lot Shuttle Services

The Carthage College Parking Lot Shuttle Service provides safe transportation between the main campus, and the College's satellite parking facilities: Lot V, Lot R, and Lot P. Use of the Parking Lot Shuttle is available to all Carthage students with parking permits for these designated lots and their registered guests who may have temporary parking assignments to these lots.

Hours of Operation

From 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday-Friday, the shuttle is provided by a 30-passenger shuttle bus with pick up service every half hour. Stops are at the Todd Wehr Center flagpole, the front door of the Tennis Center in Lot V, and the shuttle waiting pavilion in Lot R and Lot P.

From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday-Friday and all day/evening on Saturday and Sundays, shuttle service is provided by smaller 12-passenger vans. Students are asked to call the Security Office at (262) 551-5911 or utilize the intercoms provided at the shuttle stations in Lots V, R and P to request pickup service. Service is provided on call by vans and drivers dedicated to this service. Please call as service is provided "on call" not via a regularly scheduled route.

Route

The Carthage College Parking Lot Shuttle Service has designated Pick up and Drop off locations. They are the following:

  • TWC Flagpole
  • The front of the Smeds Tennis Center
  • The shuttle waiting pavilion at Lot R and Lot P

The shuttle will wait five minutes at each of these stops before proceeding to the next stop. The shuttle drivers are not permitted to deviate from the assigned route, unless instructed to do so by a Security Department Supervisor.

The shuttle will make a stop at the TWC Flagpole at the top of the hour and at the half hour. It will arrive at the 1st stop approximately 10 minutes from this stop, and 10 minutes every stop after. Times may vary do to ridership, traffic patterns, and weather. Please plan accordingly.

Shuttle Code of Conduct

  • Common courtesy rules at all times.
  • A passenger must carry their Carthage College ID card at all times.
  • Passengers must sit in a designated seat and use their seatbelts.
  • No smoking, open intoxicants, loud music or distracting behavior is allowed.
  • Maximum occupancy is limited by vehicle design. Overcrowding, sitting on the floor or in luggage area is prohibited. There is also no doubling up in seats or sitting on one another's laps.
  • The driver cannot deviate off the shuttle route.
  • The driver may ask you to leave the shuttle if you violate any of these rules of conduct and may receive disciplinary action as well.
