

Parking Permits for the 2012-2013 academic year may be reserved starting on April 23, 2012. Permit sales and registration will be conducted at the Business Office Service Counter. Resident student parking lots and fees for the 2012-2013 academic year remain unchanged.

Lot V, R and P are serviced by the Parking Lot Shuttle. The Parking Lot Shuttle operates on a continuous loop with lot pickup twice every hour between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM Monday through Friday. Service from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and on weekends is on an “on call” basis. The shuttle picks up and delivers students from the designated satellite parking lots to the designated campus shuttle stop on the main campus. Service is provided at no cost to parking permit holders. For shuttle updates students are encouraged to download the Shuttle Trak I Phone App
Resident students may register and reserve space for the lot of their choice, in the Carthage Business Office during normal business hours starting on Monday April 23, 2012. A registration form indicating your parking lot preference and your vehicle information must be completed at that time. While Lot R and Lot P permits are provided at no cost, you must register for a permit in a specific lot to reserve your space. Students desiring Lot V or Lot A permits must provide a $100.00 deposit with your permit registration. The remainder of the permit cost will be charged to your account in June.
Spaces are made available based on the capacity of the parking lot. Carthage does not oversell lots. Registration for lots is on a first come, first served basis. If you plan to participate in an internship, observation hours, or enroll in any program that will require you to maintain a vehicle on campus at anytime during the next academic year, we strongly encourage you to register for a parking permit early.
Commuting student lots and fees also remain unchanged for the 2012-2013 academic year. Commuting student lots are Lots A, H and C. After 5 PM commuting students may also park in Lots E and N. Full time commuting students, defined as registered for 12 credits or more are charged a $100.00 parking fee as part of registration. Commuting students may register for a permit in the Carthage Business Office during normal business hours starting on Monday April 23, 2012.
Permits will be distributed at fall check in and must be claimed by 4:00 PM Friday September 7, 2012. Any permits not claimed by that date and time may be distributed to other students.
Please plan for your early reservation of a parking permit to avoid any disappointment in the fall.
