Why take Communication at Carthage?

THE CARTHAGE ADVANTAGE
Carthage's communication major is designed to blend the theoretical and the practical, giving students grounding in the liberal arts tradition and the skills required for employment in the field. Both historical and modern theories are examined as platform for critical faculties and the skills required to become an effective communicator.

Note that the communication major is housed in the Communications and Digital Media department, which also houses the communications major. This is a direct reflection of graphic design's relation to communications in the job market. Students are trained in written and oral communication. Special emphasis is placed on the ability to communicate using electronic and digital media.
