“Glenn Miller will rapidly become a productive member of the Carthage community. His personal character will win him respect. His understanding of the human impulse toward benevolence will make him a wise counselor for us all,” said F. Gregory Campbell, Carthage president. Pr. Miller comes to Carthage from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, where he currently serves as Vice President for Development. During his six years at LTSP, he was the institution’s chief development officer and led a successful $20 million capital campaign. "I am extremely pleased to be joining the staff of Carthage, particularly at such an exciting time in the College's life. I am grateful for and humbled at having been selected for this post, and look forward to what I know will be a wonderful new chapter together," said Pr. Miller. Before becoming a full-time development executive, Pr. Miller led several capital campaigns during a 17-year career as a Lutheran pastor. A native of Harrisburg, Penn., he earned his M.Div. from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Penn., and B.A. from the Conservatory of Music at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. Pr. Miller will join the campus community in early September. He and his wife, Carol, have two grown children, Jason and Sarah. |
