
More than 240 Carthage students and faculty shared their research, scholarship and creativity on April 20, 2012, during the second annual Celebration of Scholars.
This event showcases projects by students and faculty across all six academic divisions at Carthage. The 2012 event included 156 posters from students and faculty in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, fine arts, education, and interdisciplinary studies.
Student projects may have been part of a senior thesis, a summer research project, independent study with a professor, internship, or a significant project in a class.
"This is one of those stand-and-deliver moments for students," said Carthage Provost Julio Rivera. "Students have been here for two, three, four years. They've done some significant work. This is their chance to tell others about it."
