According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, beginning salary offers in July 2007 for graduates with bachelor's degrees in chemistry averaged $41.506 a year. Median annual earnings of chemists in 2006 were $59,870.
This list includes careers requiring differing degrees of education and training.
Carthage chemistry students have gone on to become quality assurance analysts, technical analysts, chemists, science teachers, and research and development chemists; and pursued graduate studies in chemistry, law, medicine, pharmacy, and chiropractic.
Companies employing Carthage graduates include Abbott Laboratories, Accenture, ATO Findley Inc., West De Pere High School, Ellsworth Adhesive Systems, Lauder International, and S.C. Johnson.
