Support the Center

The Center for Children’s Literature at Carthage is self-supporting, and the center’s ambitious programs rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters. Donations help cover expenses involved in bringing authors, illustrators and others involved in producing children’s books to speak in public programs at Carthage.

Become a Friend of the Center

We invite you to become a member of the Center for Children's Literature Friends Group. The Friends Group was established when the center opened in 2004. Members are invited to contribute to the mission of the center through volunteer work, attending center events, and making financial contributions.

As a Friend of the Center, you will receive:

• A library card giving you the opportunity to borrow materials from the Center
• The Friends Newsletter, reviewing past events and showcasing upcoming events
• Invitations to all Center events, programs and receptions for visiting lecturers
• The chance to meet and talk books with others interested in children's literature

Your support is vital if we are to continue to offer a broad array of programs and maintain our library as a resource for our students and the community. We are pleased to welcome Friends Group members for as little as $10. Please consider a donation to the Center by printing and completing the application form.

Seuss-a-thon

Annual Seuss-a-thon event draws book-lovers of all ages to the Center for Children's Literature.
