

The Clausen Center has become increasingly active in sponsoring visitors on our own, and in collaboration with other institutes and programs at Carthage, especially in connection with campus-wide speakers. Sustained emphasis is being given by the Center to local and state, as well as national and foreign, government professionals. Visitors have included:

The Chapman Executive-in-Residence program brings prominent business leaders to campus to speak to students and the public. The program is endowed by Carthage Trustee Steven M. Chapman, Group Vice President — Emerging Markets and Businesses, Cummins Inc., who also served as the initial visiting executive. In April 2012, we will host Col. Paul Herbert, Executive Director of the First Division Museum in Cantigny Illinois. He is West Point graduate and holds a Ph.D. in History from Ohio State University.
