Dance Scholarships

Admitted students intending to minor in dance are encouraged to audition for a Carthage Dance Minor Scholarship. Scholarships awards are $2,500-$5,000 per year and are renewable based on maintaining satisfactory academic progress and Theatre Department service work each semester.

Awards are contingent upon the applicant's acceptance as a Carthage student and enrollment as a dance minor in the upcoming academic year.

Scholarship candidates must submit a completed application, resume, two letters of recommendation, and participate in one of the Scholarship/Placement Auditions.

To reserve a place at one of the auditions, please submit application materials prior to your selected audition date to:

2012 Audition Dates:

Scholarship/Placement Auditions will take place in TARC 2235 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Feb. 11 (application deadline Feb. 6)
  • Saturday, Feb. 25 (application deadline Feb. 20)

Students will receive notification regarding scholarship status in mid- to late-March.

All Theatre Department scholarships complement most other merit-based scholarships up to full tuition value. Total Carthage scholarship awards do not exceed full tuition. For more information on other scholarships offered by the Carthage Theatre Department, click here.
