Freshman
___Declare your major/minor
___Take and pass the PPST
___Take Heritage sequence (must earn a grade of C or better in all Heritage courses)
___Take education foundations courses (EDUC 101, 105, or 201)
___Purchase the portfolio kit
___Begin working on the portfolio
___Begin dispositions review through designated classes
Sophomore
___Continue working on your minor for elementary/major for secondary
___Take the third education foundations course
___Apply to the TEP (see Pages 4-6 for procedures)
___Get 3 positive recommendations for TEP application (2 must be from education professors.)
___Continue working on the portfolio and complete EDUC 222
___Continue with appropriate dispositions review through designated classes
___Take other 200 level classes
Junior
___Successfully complete the Praxis II subject area test(s) before student teaching application and have records on file with the education office
___Continue adding to the portfolio to prepare for its review at the time of application to student teaching
___Continue with appropriate dispositions review through designated classes
___Attend mandatory student teaching meeting
Senior
___Complete all pre-student teaching clinical requirements with report forms placed on file in the education office
___Continue with appropriate dispositions review through designated classes
___Complete application for student teaching and hand in by deadline
___Sign up for a student teaching interview (dates and times will be announced)
___Attend mandatory student teaching interview
___Have the second portfolio review by education faculty committee at the time of student teaching meeting sign up
___Register for student teaching and seminar (EDUC 490)
___Student teach
___Revise portfolio with materials from Student Teaching
