Geographers go to the field
The Department offers many opportunities for travel and field work.
Field excursions can range from a local trip lasting a few hours to trips
covering several thousand miles in a few weeks. The faculty have a diverse
set of interests, and students should expect to visit urban, rural, and suburban
sites. In addition to offerings through Carthage, credit can be earned
through a variety of field programs. Contact the Geography
