Present:  Snavely (chair), C. Chell, Wheeler, Trautwein, Klingenberg, Porta, S. Groleau, Goss, Nachtigal.

All agenda items were discussed at length, particularly North Central and Assessment.

Assessment results were presented, and two main concerns were raised:  logical inferences, and unit conversions.  We discussed ways of emphasizing these topics in all general education mathematics courses.

The future direction  of Math 104 was discussed.  We reached a consensus that the course content should stay as it is, but that the title should change, and an emphasis on manipulatives could be removed.  However, we may wish to keep that emphasis for the education student who take the course.

We adjourned to lunch at the Boat House.
