Secondary Education Majors


The Mathematics Department has an excellent record of graduating outstanding high school and middle school teachers. The mathematics major planning on secondary teaching should include in their course of study Math 205, 303, 304, 322, and Computer Science 111. Students should also contact Dr. Aaron Trautwein after their arrival on campus.

The teaching minor for secondary education should include Math 112, Math 113, Math 121, Math 205, Math 304, Math 322, and Computer Science 111.

The elementary education major desiring licensure for teaching mathematics should include Math 103, 104, 106, 112, 121, 205, and Computer Science 111.
