A variety of neuroscience research opportunities exist at Carthage.
The neuroscience laboratory, run by Dan Miller and Penny Seymoure, includes
research involving signaled barpressing and the
17-arm radial maze. Click on the task for pictures
and a description of the research.
Patrick Pfaffle runs a laboratory
for genetics and neurobiology that involves a number of neuroscience majors
as well. Students interested in chemistry can work with Christine Rener in
the biochemistry
lab. Opportunities for experience in electrophysiology
exist with Dan Miller and Doug Arion in the neuroscience and physics laboratory
