J-Term in Italy 2002
Professors Schowalter and Renaud are proud to announce a Classics and Religion J-Term Class in Italy.
What do you need to do? Come to the informational meeting at 4:30 in Room LH 337 on SEPTEMBER 11. At the meeting, Professor Schowalter and I will expand on what the trip will entail.
Do I need to fill out a form? Professor Schowalter and I will have an application for you to fill out, and if you wish, you can give us a $250.00 deposit to secure a place . We will need to get all applications and deposits into the business office by October 1, 2001.
How much will this trip cost? The trip will be $2500.00. In Italy we will be in three-star accommodations.
When will all payments be due? By October 30, you will have to give the business office $1200.00. The remainder will be due on Nov.30.
What Carthage requirements will the trip fulfill? Our class, The Religions and Archaeology of Ancient Italy, will meet the requirement of a second religion course, a 300 level requirement for a Classics minor or major, a Humanities division distribution requirement
How long will we be in Italy? 18 days in Rome, Florence, Pompeii and other sites. Along the way, however, we will see some of the major monuments of the Renaissance (Sistine Chapel) and Baroque periods.
