Ecuador

Ecuador is located in western South America between Columbia and Peru. It has a population of approximately 13,363,593 living in its territory, which is 283,560 sq km (almost the size of Nevada). Ecuador is a republic, and the current president is President Alfredo Palacio. Its current environmental concerns include the pollution of the Amazon Basin and the Galapagos Islands by the pollution that results from oil production waste.
