Religion

Sociology of Religion is an emerging field commanding a great deal of attention of pastors, bishops, church growth experts and even politicians. It is the study of the social dynamic of religion -- such why people join one religious group but not the other, how religious thought and socio-economic class correlate, or in what way religious groups grow and change to meet shifting social demands.

A double major in Religion and Sociology (or major/minor or minor/major) can be easily undertaken at Carthage College. Some sample four year plans are laid out below, but any student planning on this double major should consult with his or her advisors to custom tailor an ideal program for that student.
