Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic marketing intern for a 10-week period between October and December 2009. The deadline has been extended to Friday, Sept. 25, 2009. In addition to launching the 2009/2010 Season, subscription, single-ticket and group sales marketing efforts will continue throughout the fall schedule, which includes: Richard III directed by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines; The Druid Theatre of Ireland's The Walworth Farce; and Noël Coward's Private Lives directed by Associate Artistic Gary Griffin. Milwaukee Home and Fine Living Magazine, a monthly shelter magazine in southeast Wisconsin, is looking for an enthusiastic, part-time editorial intern for the Fall 2009 semester. Milwaukee Home & Fine Living is a product of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Specialty Media Division, which also publishes Wisconsin Trails, Metroparent, and Packer Plus. This position is unpaid, but academic credit is available. Interns are asked to commit to a minimum of 10 hours each week, maximum of 20 hours.
The internship offers an honest, in-depth look at how a magazine operates, and a talented student will end up with some published and printed samples for a portfolio. Responsibilities include writing articles, headlines and captions; compiling monthly events calendar; fact checking; proofreading; researching design trends; organizing the publications library; attending planning meetings; and assisting on location scouts and photo shoots.

The Waukesha County Museum has an opening for an exhibit research intern who will receive practical experience in researching exhibits for visitors of all ages. The intern will work directly with the Curator of Collections & Exhibits and Archivist in many aspects of the museum's exhibit research, including utilizing the two- and three-dimensional collections and researching secondary sources. The Exhibits Research Internship requires the completion of a minimum of 150 hours within three months. For this period, the intern will receive a $750 stipend.
