

Beta Beta Beta is the honorary society for students who have displayed superior academic achievement in biology. The society aims to cultivate a keen interest in the natural sciences, to stimulate an appreciation for biological research, and to promote scholarship.
CURE is an environmental organization at Carthage that seeks to inform the student body about environmental issues. The group creates "Be Aware" posters every month to hang near the cafeteria, organizes on- and off-campus clean-ups, plans activities for Earth Week, and more. CURE meets weekly during the school year.
Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) is an international honor society in geography. Members of GTU have met academic requirements and share a background and interest in geography. GTU chapter activities support geography knowledge and awareness.
Carthage's Geography Club is a vibrant and active student club on campus. The club organizes events to commemorate Geography Awareness Week, including demonstrations and GPS "treasure hunting" for GIS Day. The Geography Club also hosts camping and geocaching trips, in addition to field trips to the Milwaukee urban area, Chicago Chinatown and other destinations. The club meets weekly to plan activities, share J-Term travel experiences and play geography games.
The Carthage College Planeteers offer an opportunity for concerned individuals to create change at the local, state and national level. Members execute a set of goals each semester that enhance the group's long-term objectives and promote an environmentally friendly campus, and a recycling- and waste prevention-savvy student body.
Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society at Carthage, recognizes superior scholastic ability in the field of political science. Students must have taken a minimum of three political science courses and maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and in political science courses. The organization promotes interest and understanding in the subject of government and politics. Pi Sigma Alpha also strives to make its members and the Carthage community better aware of political events and controversies.
